Today's soundtrack is The Sword: Apocryphon, an awesome, spacey, psychedelic stoner metal album. I especially love the synth intro on the title track! The album art is gorgeous, too.
This afternoon, I reviewed factoring through decomposition of factors. Next, I practiced determining whether a binomial is a factor of a trinomial. After that, I reviewed factoring binomials and how to find the difference of squares.
I ran into one major snag: I was asked to factor polynomial expressions with sections already in brackets, eg (7x - 5)² - 8(7x - 5) + 15, which is new to me, and there's nothing in the book about it. I'll need to ask my instructor about those ones.
