Today's soundtrack is Swallow the Sun: Songs from the North I, II & III, an epic album of folk doom metal that clocks in at over 2.5 hours.
This evening, I spent my time trying to sort out my drum sound. Something about it was bothering me, and I couldn't find the problem. I finally found out that there was an effect being added to it from a previous project; once I removed that effect, it sounded much more appropriate in a non-metal context. I also really dialed back the reverb on my piano, giving it a much more present sound. "In Another Life" is coming along nicely.
