04.17.2018: 30 Minutes of Songwriting

Today's soundtrack is Angelo Badalamenti: Soundtrack From Twin Peaks.

This evening, I'm downloading two of the three synths that emulate the synthesizers used on the Twin Peaks soundtrack: the Roland PG-8X, the DX7, and the D50. Unfortunately, the D-50 download was only available as a .alp file for Ableton users, so I was left with the first two.

So I downloaded the two vsts, then found a set of patches for the PG-8X, and instantly fell in love with several of the sounds that this program made. I ended up spending close to an hour just playing around with different patches.
