02.12.2018: 30 Minutes of Songwriting

Today's Family Day finds me working on my latest project, Cephalopod: Eater öv the Void.

It's nice to know that this week is short on both sides: Family Day today, and a Pro-D day on Friday. The sun is shining outside my office and I have a hot coffee.

I'm working on the mix a bit today: the bass was a bit too high in the mix; it's better now. I added a harmonic feedback to a section where a long note rings out on the guitar and, using pitch-bend, simulated the slight jangle of the strings on a hard strum.

I wrote a new little interlude with acoustic guitar and flute mellotron which I'm quite happy with.
